On a lonely and bleak morning
Below overcast skies, I come to rest on a fleeting thought.
Like the soft snow that has come and gone.
Yet the warmth I felt when you touched my cold self
Still blankets this winter day remains.
I keep breathing so I can feel your breath still warm about me.
Frozen is my heart as I look out across these frozen shores.
I feel you have gone somewhere far away. Where can I find you?
The stiff branches I see everywhere around me, they are stiff from standing against the cold.
Waiting for your return.
And I can hear them whispering to the quiet winds that they weep for you to return.
However strong these trees are, the sadness they carry is burdened by this deep winter.
Where do we go next?
When will we meet again?
Until my spring comes, I remain frozen in this winter forever.
